  • 4 Franconian Vegan Frankfurters
  • 4 whole grain or gluten-free hot dog buns
  • 2 tbsp tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 large red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp of balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tsp of smoked paprika
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Mustard, relish, and other condiments of your choice
  • Fresh arugula or lettuce leaves for garnish
  1. 1. Sauté the Vegetables: Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the sliced red onion and bell pepper, seasoning with smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Sauté until the vegetables are tender and slightly caramelised. Add a splash of balsamic vinegar towards the end for a tangy finish.

  2. 2. Prepare the Vegan Frankfurters: While the vegetables are cooking, prepare the Franconian Vegan Frankfurters. Remember not to boil or steam them to preserve their texture and taste.
